Personal Information Security
Based on our popular "Information Security for the Smaller Business" program, this program is designed to
help individuals successfully protect themselves from concerns such as identity theft.  This program
is not intended to addresses workplace issues; rather it focuses on maintaining one’s personal information security
outside of the office. This is an area that is oftentimes neglected, yet poses a serious risk to
all of us. Participants will leave this program with a heightened vigilance and solid understanding of how to improve one’s
personal information security.
This program is a great benefit to provide to your staff, and is also an excellent topic for
networking organizations, and other groups.
Objectives
- Understand today’s threats to personal information security
- Define the "common sense" approach to protecting your assets
- Identify daily practices (electronic and physical) that will improve personal information security
- Identify and prevent major risks to personal information security (without technical expertise)
- Understand what customers must expect from businesses that are provided with sensitive personal information
