Technology Basics for the Smaller Business
Today’s world of technology provides unbelievable opportunities for the smaller business.   Many cost effective tools now exist that allow us to successfully compete (and win) against large enterprises.  While today’s business leaders do not need to be technical experts, an understanding of the fundamentals is critical to informed decision making.  This program will provide an overview of today’s technology world as it relates to smaller businesses.  Participants will leave this program with several new ideas that will help drive their business to the next level.

Objectives

• Discuss "what’s hot, what’s not" in today’s technology market
• Identify the steps that smaller businesses must take to successfully leverage these technologies
• Understand the fundamentals of various technologies (Internet, database, financial, communications, productivity)
• Understand how to successfully address concerns that may arise from the use of these technologies
• Discuss inappropriate practices, situations and other misuses of technology
